Nerdfighter gets her final wish

On Saturday, Maggie Philbrook, a nerdfighter fighting cancer, passed away. However, she did not die before receiving her ultimate wish: to see The Fault In Our Stars movie.

Movie director, Josh Boone, announced on Sunday that Maggie had been one of the first people to see the movie. The Make-A-Wish foundation and 20th Century Fox were able to accommodate Maggie and four of her closest friends to view the movie in a hospital conference room. After the movie, Maggie talked with Josh, via video-chat, and let him know she enjoyed it.

However, a few moments later her health worsened. Maggie died just before 5 a.m. on Saturday.
It makes us happy that her final wish was able to come true.

We wish her family and friends the best and strength during this difficult time.
